You'd Butter Believe It! The Mystery of Beard Butter
YOU’D BUTTER BELIEVE IT!
CAPTAIN FAWCETT EXPLORES THE MYSTERY OF BEARD BUTTER…
Naturally, the Captain is rather partial to spreading lashings of salted butter on his afternoon crumpets, but rubbing Butter into one’s beard? By Jove! Are you quite sure sir? Do tell us more…
BEARD BUTTER vs BEARD BALM - WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE?
Beard Butter and Beard Balm both help to maintain a healthy, well-groomed beard, but these stalwarts of the gentleman’s grooming arsenal each serve slightly different purposes.
Beard Butter is used primarily for deep hydration and nourishment. It is soft and creamy, making it easy to work through one's beard, right down to the chin, helping to moisturise the skin and soothe dryness. Beard Butters have a creamy, vitamin-rich formula, which to spreads evenly and melts into the hair, deeply moisturising without leaving a greasy residue.
Beard Balm, on the other hand, is a styling product. Less creamy in consistency, it is used to tame, hold and shape magnificent manes for a polished yet delightfully touchable, natural look.
IS BEARD BUTTER GOOD FOR MATURE HAIR?
Yes! Indeed, one might venture it is simply essential hair care for men! And although Captain Fawcett’s new ‘Bianco Classico’ range is tailored for all hair types, it is truly sensational for Silver Foxes and indeed, Grey Wolves, Steel Stallions and, ahem… Platinum Panthers. You get the picture…
‘Bianco Classico’ Beard Butter combines the age-old benefits of Shea Butter with Sweet Almond Oil for the deep conditioning of your Beard.
As a fellow ages, his hair loses its pigment, meaning it tends to be more wiry and coarse in texture, particularly on one’s chin. Beard Butter’s rich ingredients make it particularly effective for taking care of white, grey and silver hair and helping prevent dryness, frizz, and breakage. And because Jojoba Seed Oil mimics your skin's natural oils, it is perfect for all skin types, including sensitive, oily, and acne-prone faces. With its non-comedogenic properties, it won't clog pores, taking care of your complexion whilst nourishing your marvellous mane. Huzzah!
Furthermore, Captain Fawcett’s ‘Bianco Classico’ range provides a subtle, pearly sheen to all facial hair, resulting in a tamed, well-groomed beard that feels good, smells divine and looks absolutely magnificent!
IS BEARD BUTTER SCENTED?
Some Beard Butters are fragrance-free. However, Captain Fawcett’s ‘Bianco Classico’ Beard Butter is specially crafted to evoke the seasons of a life well lived. Woody Rosemary & Star Anise combine with invigorating Cyclamen, mineral Ambergris, calming Cedarwood & sun toasted Tonka. This subtle perfume makes the Captain’s Beard Butter ideal for scent layering with companion items in the ‘Bianco Classico’ range. A chap who leaves a trail of delectable fragrance makes a delightfully memorable impression. Evviva!
HOW DO I USE BEARD BUTTER?
Apply to your clean, dry Beard. Using the back of your thumbnail, extract a small scoop of Butter from the tin and warm in the palms of your hands. Smooth gently into your Beard, working the Butter evenly through with your fingers. From the roots, work down to the tips of the hairs. Push through the thicket of whiskers and massage into the skin beneath your beard as well, to help keep both hair and chin healthy and moisturised. Use a Beard Comb or Beard Brush to evenly distribute the Butter before styling your beard as desired.
Let your Beard absorb the nourishment, whilst the Butter tames stray hairs and provides a subtle hold to keep your Beard feeling soft and looking healthy whatever the day may bring.
Beard Butter is splendid for daily use, providing hydration and softness with a light, natural hold.
If desired, you can first wash your Beard with a mild Beard Shampoo and pat it dry with a Towel before applying the Butter.
Use whenever your grooming routine requires.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY BEARD IN COLD WEATHER?
Grey hair tends to be coarser, stiffer and less flexible, so Captain Fawcett’s nourishing Beard Butter provides intense moisture, perfect for protecting your Beard from the elements year round. In summertime, it helps counter sun damage and dryness caused by UV exposure and salty sea air. And when the season changes, regular use of Beard Butter guards against the drying effects of colder weather, icy winds and central heating.
